Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Clanker City is operated by xuxE creative LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: info@clankercity.com.

2. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and first name.
• What you tell your clanker: your private chat messages, the items you list, and the scores you give them.
• Split records: proposals, decisions, and the final agreement between the two people in a split.
• Payment status: whether a split has been paid for. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Usage data: basic analytics such as pages visited, device type, and general location (country level).

3. How we use it

• To run the Service: matching you with the other person, generating proposals, and showing you your split.
• To process payments and unlock proposals.
• To send you service emails (sign-in links, invitations, and notifications you've turned on).
• To keep the Service secure and understand how it's used.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private messages for advertising.

4. What the other person sees

Your private chats and scores are never shown to the other person. They see only: your first name, the items you added to the shared list, the proposals the clankers agree on, and your approve / send-back decisions. The one exception is the final agreement: once both of you approve, the agreed record is shared between you, which is why it remains after account deletion (see below).

5. AI processing

Your messages and scores are sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI models) to generate replies and proposals. Anthropic processes this data under its own privacy commitments and does not use it to train its models. We don't send your email address to the AI provider.

6. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the Service:

• Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, and authentication.
• Anthropic — AI processing (see above).
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

7. Retention and deletion

You can delete your data from your account page at any time. Deletion removes your chats, lists, and scores, then signs you out. The final agreement record stays, because the other person's copy depends on it. Some records may be retained briefly in backups or where the law requires.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California and the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email info@clankercity.com. California residents: we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data isolation so each person can only reach their own information. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you as the law requires.

10. Children

The Service is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes will be flagged on the site.
